A new $7.5 million state-of-the-art packaging and distribution facility will be built by A&R Bulk-Pak, Inc., a contract packaging company specializing in the packaging and distribution of plastics for overseas export, in Berkeley County. In an effort to better serve its expanding customer base and handle the coming plastics production surge from the Gulf Coast, the 30-year company will create 25 new jobs in Moncks Corner, S.C.
“Since day one, our experience in South Carolina has been tremendous,” said A&R Bulk-Pak, Inc. President Avi Ron. “From the highly motivated leadership at the state and county levels to the exceptional folks at the South Carolina Ports Authority and CSX Railroad, it is clear we have an extraordinary support team in place, which is second to none. Our industry is readying for an explosion in plastic exports and we are truly excited to get to work at our new facility – we honestly can’t wait.”
To house its operations, a new 240,000-square-foot facility on 27.5 acres will be built in three phases. Rail storage capacity for more than 100 railcars will be featured on site. The new location will be the first packaging facility to open its doors in the Southeast, with the specific purpose of receiving Gulf Coast originating plastic resin earmarked for export.
A&R Bulk-Pak, Inc. is a family owned and operated company which has serviced the plastic and grain industries from its New Jersey headquarters since 1985. The company offers packaging, bulk transfer, warehousing and logistics services to producers and traders who require highly responsive service and attention to detail, uncommon in the packaging industry.
