BASF Site Director Jerome Kirkland, who leads the site in Converse, was recently recognized by the Converse Fire Department with an award recognizing his community leadership and his outstanding support of the Converse Fire Department. The award was presented recently at the Converse/Drayton fire fighters’ banquet.
“It is an incredible honor to be recognized by this outstanding group of men and women who serve our community. BASF is proud to have a very strong partnership with the Converse Fire Department, and we know that when we work together to keep our surrounding areas safe, we create a stronger community,” said Kirkland.
BASF in Converse has worked closely with the Converse Fire Department in recent years on crisis response training, and it has donated monetary support and more, including a contribution earlier this year of six bulletproof vests and several emergency kits with essential tools such as tourniquets.
