The South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance (SCMA) has hired Andrea “Andi” Rawl as the Executive Director of the SC Automotive Council.
“We are pleased to welcome Andi Rawl to the SCMA team,” said Sara Hazzard, President and CEO of the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance. “South Carolina’s automotive manufacturers are thriving as the industry continues to transition. The SC Automotive Council engages on topics including trade, policy, supply chain, workforce, and economic development. The Council’s annual events and programming provide a forum for insightful discussion on trends and issues impacting the automotive industry on a local and global basis. Andi’s extensive relationships in economic development and background in association management will be a great asset to our organization.”
Prior to joining SCMA, Andi served as the Director of Association Management and Events Services for CRAFT Association and Event Services where she worked as the Association Executive for the South Carolina Economic Developers’ Association and Executive Director for the South Carolina Society of Association Executives. She has more than 16 years of experience working for business associations handling responsibilities ranging from management, budgeting, marketing, conferences and events planning, and member communications.
Andi is a 2006 graduate of the University of South Carolina where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant, Tourism Management. She is currently pursuing an Institute of Organizational Management (IOM) designation from the US Chamber of Commerce and a Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation through the American Society of Association Executives. Andi is a volunteer with the Rocky Creek PTA, Dickerson Child Advocacy Center, and the Lexington School District One Education Foundation. She and her husband, Aaron, live in Lexington, SC and have two children.
