(Columbia, SC) – Today, the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance (SCMA) announced that it has hired Rebecca Leach as its Vice President of Government Relations.
“We are excited to welcome Rebecca to the SCMA team,” said Sara Hazzard, President and CEO of the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance. “Her extensive knowledge of the legislative and regulatory process will be a great asset in advocating for policies that advance economic opportunity and prosperity throughout South Carolina’s manufacturing sector.”
Prior to joining SCMA, Leach served as the Executive Director for the South Carolina Retail Association. For 10 years, she served the State of South Carolina through her work as Director of Governmental Affairs with the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation and as a Budget Specialist with the South Carolina Office of Revenue and Fiscal Affairs where she assisted the Senate Finance and House Ways and Means Committees with drafting the annual appropriations bill.
She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina where she received both her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and her Master of Business Administration. She lives in Columbia, SC with her husband, Clint.
